Stella Piccolo is a nurturing play based preschool program serving 2 ½ - to 5 - year-old children.  Our goal is to provide a positive environment where belonging and respect facilitate curiosity and active, hands-on learning.  At Stella Piccolo, children explore their thoughtfully planned play environment where they engage in active learning, explore individual interests, and build developmentally appropriate skills.  In turn, Stella Piccolo teachers are partners in the children’s learning by observing, planning, and facilitating experiences based upon children’s interests and needs while ensuring children build skills across areas of development including language and communication, social skills, gross and fine motor development, problem solving and academics.  The relationship that develops between the child and teacher results in children feeling supported and in control of their learning and developing confidence, independence, and responsibility.
